Padma

Arched niche | Lotus crown | Two brass bells | Fluted pilasters | Stepped base

Padma is named for the lotus and carries that symbolism without effort or artifice. It is the Griha collection's most serene freestanding design, and its most immediately inviting.

A carved lotus bloom adorns the crowning cornice at the centre, flanked by two small brass temple bells that chime softly as worship begins. The broad arched inner niche sits between fluted pilasters, offering a composed and reverent space for the murti. The base plinth steps outward in two clean tiers, anchoring the piece with classical assurance on any surface. Makrana marble's natural translucency is particularly evident in the smooth inner walls of the niche, where it takes on a soft, settled warmth in the glow of a diya.

Padma is compact without feeling reduced. At 38 centimetres wide, it brings the full language of temple architecture to a scale suited to any devotional corner, shelf, or table in the home. A mandir that knows precisely what it is and asks for nothing more than a place to stand.
