Shikhara dome | Lotus sunburst | LED-lit arch | Reeded columns | Puja drawer
Anant is infinite without end and this mandir is built around the image of the lotus as the universe itself. A full multi-petalled sunburst lotus fills the inner arched panel, each petal carved in careful relief, the whole composition illuminated from the base of the arch by a warm LED strip. In this light, the lotus does not merely sit within the niche it radiates from it.
Above, a ribbed shikhara dome rises in serene, classical authority. Reeded columns with articulated bases and capitals frame the composition on either side. The inner arch narrows to a clean pointed apex at the shikhara's base. A single drawer in the plinth provides concealed storage, its presence felt rather than seen.
Anant gives the home a point of absolute brilliance the lotus at the centre of everything, as it has always been. It is a mandir for the devotee who finds, in the geometry of a flower, a complete account of the universe.
