Flat-top canopy | Lotus relief | Leaf-scroll cornice | Fluted pilasters | Tiered plinth
Nirvan is liberation, the state of pure stillness and this is a mandir in which the marble itself is the meditation. The design is intentionally horizontal: spreading quietly rather than reaching upward, asking the eye to slow down and settle rather than to rise.
A wide flat cornice edged with a fine leaf-scroll border sits above twin fluted pilasters. A single lotus flower is carved in assured relief at the centre of the back panel — the only ornament on an otherwise open field of white. The two-tiered plinth steps gently outward, grounding the piece on any surface with simplicity and grace. Nothing in Nirvan distracts. Everything is arranged so that attention arrives at the murti, and stays.
It is a mandir for homes where craft is understood in the quality of materials and the intelligence of restraint. The most peaceful piece in the collection, and one of the most enduring.
